this is a song by a favorite artist of mine, David Wilcox. you might say i have an obsession. this song really hit me for the first time this week. he's talking about a harvest in the song. but it made me think about my financial situation. now granted i haven't experienced much prosperity but i have experienced more than i am now. the point i got from this song is that in my poverty hopefully my roots will grow deeper. i pray that this will grow my character and push me to depend more and more on the one who is truly my provider. i think it could be so easy for me to get bitter and ungrateful towards god and envious towards others who seem to have it easier than me. but i just have to believe that my roots will grow deeper in christ during this drought of my monetary needs.
